William Deras '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is William Deras. I am a rising senior at the California Academy of Math and Science (CAMS) in Carson, California. According to the US News & World Report, my school is ranked 19th in the state and 125th nationally.Over the three years at CAMS I've earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0. I've taken the SAT and recived a score of 1,495. Over this summer I've worked vigourisly to better my GPA and SAT score. At CAMS I've taken various honors and AP courses that have both challenged me and prepared me for the next step, college. 
 I aspire to attend a university that offers both a prestigious education and a high level soccer program.  I differ from other candidates as I will be the full package: a student athlete who is equally devoted to his education as to the sport he loves. I will represent the school in a respectable and  honorable manner. I will be very involved and devoted to representing both your school and soccer program  as the best. I differ from other candidates as I can offer your soccer program explosive speed, strength, leadership and calmness in the both, on attack and back line. As an out side back I can give the team width, provide movement off the ball that'll open up teammates.   I also offer your team loyalty.  I am the type of player who works for his team, team mates and coach. I will not stop running, pressing, and trying until I drop dead if it is asked of me or required.  I plan to make a commitment to both the sport and my education in order to graduate at the top of my class, win championships, and become a sucessful person.
