Conor Juric '21 Recruiting Profile

Attending college to earn my degree while playing on a competitive college team has always been a goal of mine since I first started playing soccer. I have a strong work ethic both on and off the field, and I am very disciplined when it comes to caring for my physical and mental health. I am known as a player who has excellent on-field vision,  and know how to direct my line and where to be to receive and place the ball. 

I'm also a versatile player who can play on the right or left,  though my right foot is dominant - but I can still place a ball or score with my left. I am good at finding open space, and have excellent recall that helps me take a snapshot of where my teammates are on the field in order to connect a play or pass. Corner kicks and set plays are my strength (though I'm not one-dimensional), and I am often take corners for my club and high school teams. 

Off the field, I  would say that I am personable, and I am known for being reliable, respectful and easy-going. I am very involved in nutrition, and do my best to workout and stay in shape even on off days from my club and high school team. I'm an avid mountain biker, and video gamer, and I also run track for my high school and play golf (I played on my high school's golf team). I am also very active in my church, and participate in youth group functions, and donate time to community activities. I'm also taking courses to become a referee for club soccer. 

What makes me a good recruit. I'm competitive and take the on-field play seriously, though I still like to have fun. I'm not overbearing and don't throw tantrums. I accept responsibility for mistakes and I look for ways to improve my game. I follow English Premier League religiously, and enjoy following player's stats, and my family does Fantasy EPL together. My parents and extended family all play soccer,  some at collegiate and semi-pro levels. But that's not why I play. I play because I truly love the game and challenge of soccer, and being part of a team.
