Jayce Spikes '26 Recruiting Profile

The careers I am planning to pursue would be a professional soccer player and also an entrepreneur where I would create and own my own Christian-based clothing brand. I have a love and passion for playing soccer and although I don’t know much about the fashion industry or how to start my clothing business, I think it would be cool to try.

Since I was young, soccer has always been my passion. Some days I feel like I eat, sleep, and breathe soccer. That’s how much I love the sport. So when I grow up, I want to do something that I love because I know that it will make me happy. 

As far as my Christian-based clothing brand goes, I chose to pursue that because it has two things that I love which are my faith and clothes. I know that there are many different religions and beliefs, and not everyone will like or agree with my ideas, but these are things that make me happy which is why I am choosing to pursue them.

To help me get to my goals and where I want to be, I know I need to work hard starting now. Some things that I have already been doing are practicing soccer pretty much every day and studying the sport. I also try to keep my health good with my diet and exercise. And when I think about being an entrepreneur, I try to start with the basics like learning about money and what it takes to own a business and I know I would have to be disciplined and fearless.
