Personal Statement
I believe my strengths are in my high-level ball control skills, escaping trouble, penetrating on the dribble, and distributing to my teammates in a possession based game. I am also confident in my ability to read the game and identify proper spacing both offensively and defensively and feel that I use my soccer IQ to gain an advantage over my opponents. As an attacking midfielder, these qualities help me play in the most competitive league with consistent success.
I am one of the smaller athletes on the field, but have never let my stature determine my destiny. In fact, I have learned to use my size to my advantage and do so in many ways. I am extremely quick while attacking and defending so I frequently win one on one situations. My low center of gravity allows me to ride challenges from bigger players, and escape or succeed in ball winning situations as well. Being one of the smaller players has taught me to be physically and mentally tough and has helped me develop a highly competitive nature. I love to win, but I also love to learn and be challenged at the highest level possible.
