Hello, my name is Sean Newmark and I’m a '24 Goalkeeper from Trumbull, CT. I currently play for Beachside Soccer Club and St. Joseph's High School. I play in the Northeast Academy League (NEAL) for my club and FCIAC for the High School soccer team. I wear number #0 for club and #30 for High School. Also during the Summer I train with a Semi-Pro team from Ole Football Club.
Academics are very important to me. I currently hold a 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA. I excel and strive in various subjects including Mathematics, Spanish, and some Science classes.
When I play, I am a very vocal and competitive kid that always wants to win every game. I play as a sweeper keeper and I am an aggressive player when it comes to getting the ball in and out of the box. I am also comfortable with the ball at my feet and can play both the long and short ball. I can go out and make all the needed saves that can keep my team in the game. Within my team, I am a trusted player and I also bring a huge impact on the game. I motivate my team and love to take the leadership role when I can.
Soccer is probably the top 3 most important aspects of my life. I loved the game since I was three and I never stopped playing it since. Soccer has taught me all types of lessons and has opened my eyes to real world things situations. This has motivated me to be the player I am today. I had coaches who became big important figures in my life, they taught me so much and grew me as a person off and on the pitch. Soccer keeps me focused and gives me a sense of joy and is the highlight of the day. I am super competitive in soccer and hope to reach the highest level.
Through college athletics, I desire to play at a high level, compete every day, make a significant difference on and off the field, and earn a college degree. After earning a degree in Math, I would like to pursue math at the level where it helps people daily like being an agent or someone that makes a huge impact daily. Being someone that works with stats and working with financial stuff is also something I may be interested in as well.
