Eric Smith '18 Recruiting Profile

In my life being a triplet really influences how competitive I am. My brothers have motivated and pushed me to be very competitive academically and athletically. I became interested in soccer when I first moved to Florida in 2005 and meet one of my best friends to this day who already was in soccer, and he sparked my interest. During my sophomore year my High School coach told me that I was not going to varsity and start. To me this was a huge set back but also a major motivator. This motivated me to work harder than ever before and come tryouts I made the starting varsity team my sophomore year. As a student and athlete I am very self-motivated and progressing into college I hope to continue this quality on the field and off the field.
