Yanga Luoma '25 Recruiting Profile

     Hello Coaches, My name is Yanga Luoma. I was born in 2006 July 14. My ethnicity is South Sudanese but I am naturally born in the US.  I am 6 ft and weigh about 160 .  I am a CLASS OF 2025 Senior in Clarkston High School located in Georgia . My soccer journey started when I was 10 years old. That’s when I started playing club and experienced different levels of football. When I was 10 I started playing for Cheifs FC known as (CFC) that was classic 1 . Higher than the 4 lowest levels . I’ve played there a couple years about 2 years max. I’ve then moved to DDY wolves. As I started to mature that’s when different emotions hit me based on my performance is how I’ll always act. Their league was National league . The highest level I played in . I moved and played with my  former club inter Atlanta and Kalonji soccer academy known as KSA . With both teams we’ve always went to State cup . With inter we’ve made is 2nd place about two times. Losing to KSA . The KSA coached spoke to me after the game and told me how he was interested in me due to my performance against them. I was scared making this move but I moved teams  because I wanted a better team . I’ve moved there 2021 won 3 state cup finals with them. And headed to regionals in Louisiana . It was a great experience, I also went to Disney land and showcases. We’ve then transitioned into MLSNEXT as the years grew in 2023 . We’ve been to Maryland, faced professional academies and I’ve barely got playtime but when I always got on the field I made sure I was effective in good ways. We always traveled which was also fun. When spring season of 2024 hit I started in most of the games. I like the environment because we had to fight for our spot and we had a honest , strict and cool coach. We were always pushed pass our limits and that made me a better player mentally , and physically. We played hard and had intense training sessions. But at the end of that season I stopped playing club because I got injured from a tackle that was almost career ending. I got cleated above my knees and was out for about 4 - 3 months . But that did not stop me from training with ex college / professional players such as Machop chol . I went to Boone , North Carolina with one of my private coaches and try out with Appalachian FC during the summer. They were in NPSL. I was doing good for a young player. As you watch my highlights you can see my progress and unbelievable improvement. Credit to God because he’s played a huge part in my life. In every team I’ve went to I’ve always played forward. I was then suggested to try outside back due to my speed and technical skills. I didn’t like it , but I think I did pretty well. As I  played forward I also score goals, assist and play my role. I’m ready to stretch out my career in high divisions and see where it takes me. Now I am currently a Highschool player at Clarkston Highschool located in Georgia  and we are 7-1 , first place in the region. As the season ends I also graduate and I’m looking forward into moving into  a high divisions college. So I’ll be nice if anyone could reach out to me. Thanks for reading .
