Edward Iriarte '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a rising senior at The Heights School in Potomac, MD and looking to defend our conference title and preparing to play at the next level. I have played on the Varsity team since my freshman year and started the last 2 years.  I made 1st team All-Conference as a Junior but defending our title is more important. 

 I have played soccer for as long as I can remember and have played with my club soccer team for a decade.  I have seen players come and go from my club team looking for more playing time, a 'better' team or more exposure while a few of us remained worked hard, took in new payers who fit our culture and all this commitment, hard work, physical and technical improvement resulted in our team winning the Virginia ECNL-RL league for the past 3 years and culminated in being runners up in the National title game for 2006 ECNL-RL in the summer of 2023.

I have played as the attacking midfielder but my coaches have moved me to the holding midfield role 2 years ago.  I will be playing for a new club team this fall since the team I played for was full of seniors who graduated and the team ended.  I will play for Potomac Soccer Association's ECNL National League team for the 2024-2025 season.  We play in the Northeast - Southern Division and play teams from the DC Maryland Metro area to the eastern Pennsylvania area.

 Ball control, speed with the ball and a high soccer I.Q are my outstanding qualities. I am ready to take my dedication to the sport and education to the college game and classroom.
