Personal Statement
My name is Ron Berlin and I am a student at Thomas S. Wootton High School. Ever since I was little, I picked up a great love for soccer. Every time I stepped onto the field, whether it was with my friends or in a game, I was always excited and anxious just to get going. This joy that soccer brings me is something I still feel today and reminds me of my dreams of playing soccer in college at a high level. On and off the field, I am a great leader who knows how to act during all situations. I am a very loud midfielder who controls the tempo of the game and makes sure my whole team is on the same page and everyone does their job. What differentiates me from everyone else in school is that I'm always on top of my work and am constantly turning in work before deadlines and receiving high A's on most assignments. On the field, my decision making and anticipation of the game allows me to stand out. I constantly know where I am on the field and I'm always one step ahead of the game. I know when to pass, shoot or dribble the ball and where the ball should be played.
