Personal Statement
My name is Kyle Webb and I am a 2024 graduate at Forest Hills Central High School in Michigan. My main goals are to balance a successful soccer playing career at the highest possible level, while also pursuing an academic profession in the health science field. I am targeting D1 or D2 schools due to their high level of competition. I plan on achieving my goal by maintaining a 3.8 or higher GPA throughout my last year of high school, and pushing my mind and body to their limits so I can be the best person, player, and teammate possible.
Regarding academics, I will continue to be determined and stay focused at school so I can maintain at least a 3.8 GPA and maximize my SAT scores. My longer-term academic goals are to obtain an undergraduate degree in the field of health sciences (e.g. biomedical engineering, kinesiology, exercise science), followed but graduate studies in fields such as physical therapy, veterinary medicine, or Orthotics/Prosthetics/Bionics.
With regard to soccer, I believe I have many unique and valuable assets that not too many single players have that can help a team succeed. I have a lot of pace and athleticism, am strong with both feet, have good vision, have excellent passing range and accuracy, and positional versatility. Over the past couple of years, I captained a national futsal champion team and won districts with my high school varsity team. I have been awarded all-conference, all-district, all-region, and all-state honorable mentions, as well as presented with a team all-academic award. I am currently playing with Michigan Rangers FC in the Elite 64 division. I am confident given my positive mindset, determination, focus, intellect, and time management skills, I will be able to pursue my academic and soccer goals.
