Personal Statement
Ever since I was a toddler, I've played soccer. I played other sports through my earlier years, but nothing stuck to me like the ball at my feet. Scoring goals and winning games for my team was the best feeling. My passion for the sport hasn't declined but rather increased as I became more serious about the sport. My dream is to become a professional soccer player. I want to play at the top levels, win championships, trophies, tournaments, and more. But this isn't just a dream: it's something I'm training and striving to do every day.
Going into high school, I wanted to play my best and get off to the best start possible. I succeeded in doing this by making the varsity soccer team my freshman year. This was such a huge achievement that just motivated me to train even harder for my career. I took pride in wearing the Varsity kits, just like I would do if I played for you.
Before high school, I played club soccer, and continue to do so. With every team I moved up to, I transitioned smoothly with my new coaches and teammates. I acted as if I knew them all. With every new player, I always tried to take pieces of them to make my game better. I'm flexible to any game plan, and I always listen to what my coach needs me to do.
I'm a social person that gets along with everybody. This reflects on my leadership skills in groups at school, and on the field. I've received two Glory of Missouri awards and in the classroom, I am not afraid to help anyone with their work. I'm a leader in almost every aspect of my life. I've always been a leader, trying to help everyone work together for a goal we have in common. I'm always trying to help everyone on the team, physically and mentally. I love getting everyone motivated for the game, the tournament, the league, anything, in order to help us get the best result possible.
Academically, I focus on all of my classes, especially my honors/AP. I always focus on getting the highest grades. I keep steady grades, maintaining slightly below a 4.0.
All of these things work towards my college career and even farther towards my pro career. I would take the utmost pride in representing your team, college, or university.
