Personal Statement
My name is Gavin Shaw and I currently attend Laquey High School. I am a part of the class of 2026, and although I am a junior, I have not fully committed to a specific field of study yet. I've grown up with a very strong background in livestock, showing and raising our own sheep, cows, and pigs. I also have been a vital piece in the agriculture program FFA (Future Farmers of America) and have helped with every step in getting it started Freshman year, while also becoming the President this year as a junior. I was raised as a military child, in that both my father and brother serve currently, whilst both my grandfathers served and many more past generations.
As a soccer athlete, I had 3 goals, 14 shutouts, and played in 25 games in my freshman year.
We also had a record-breaking season last year (sophomore season) with our school's first time making it into the state tournament finishing 4th.
