Eric Lewczyk '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a very hard worker and will go practice soccer, trying to become better sometimes indoors/outdoors and throughout the entire day. I was injured in my 2019-2020 club season with having a surgery that didn’t let me play contact sports for six months. I worked so much that I was able to make it from my freshman team my first high school year to Varsity as a sophomore, while not being able to practice soccer for 3 months. I recieved very little playing time that year. After the season I got right back to work focusing on club and then my junior year of high school to only find a little bit more playing time on the field and that was it. I had many doubts after it but knew this is what I wanted to do. Between Junior and Senior year of High School I grew both as a player and person I learned much more about soccer in all aspects of it from my new coach after switching club teams and found a great fit for me. I grew in confidence going into my senior year. I started off the bench in my first couple games of season and came up to becoming a starter on my team. We had finished 18-6 as a team going to the state quarterfinals and losing which I was not able to play in due to concussion. We won our district for the first time in four years and I was named 2nd Team All District and Honorable Mention All-Conference

I am an Eagle for Troop 1394 in Pleasant Valley, MO. I have worked really hard to accomplish my Eagle Scout and also spent a lot of time on my Eagle Scout Project during COVID shutdown. I was also the Senior Patrol Leader of my Troop in 2020-2021 and have also been a patrol leader. I have learned many great leadership skills that I need for life and many other different skills that I need for life. I am also a brotherhood in Order of the arrow and a warrior in Tribe of Mic-O-Say which is a local organization in the Heart of America Council.

I also concentrate on having great academics. I received an academic letter in my three years of High School. While taking a few AP and college courses. I have an 3.7 out of 4.0 average out of those 3 years.

I am fully committed on trying to play college soccer and go beyond it, but I am more focused on education than anything else. I would like to focus on going to a school that is has a great program for the degree I want to have.
