My name is Jalen Tomita. I attend Warrensburg High School in Missouri and I graduate in 2024. I consider Maryland my home because most of my family lives there. Since my dad is in the United States Air Force, I have lived in Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Germany, and now Missouri. I am resilient and able to adapt to new environments quickly.
I first started playing soccer at the age of six when I lived in Florida and have loved it ever since then. I’ve played on teams with winning records and losing records. I’ve learned how to win graciously and to lose with dignity and humility. I’ve learned that growth and development can come from both wins and losses.
Living in Germany has given me many opportunities to play competitively against several German teams as well as teams from other countries such as Italy, United Kingdom, and Luxembourg. I’ve enjoyed being able to experience cultures in many parts of Europe such as France, Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, and Slovenia. My goal is to play soccer professionally and use my skills and love for soccer to help me get into college. I am competitive, reliable, responsible, and respectful of my peers and coaches. I work well with others and demonstrate good sportsmanship. I think all of these qualities make me a good athlete, student, and person overall.
