Luka Begonja '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Luka Begonja and I am currently a Freshmen attending Bayside High school in Queens, New York. For the last few years I have been fully committed to developing as a soccer player and also as a student in academics. In terms of academics, I am currently taking advanced classes in which I feel are going to be extremely beneficial for my future academics. In terms of athletics, I currently play as starting goal keeper and I am captain for FC Westchester 2008 NAL team. For extra training and athletic development, I have been working with the MLS Next team. additionally, I have also trained in different countries such as Croatia and Spain. In Spain I played in the ITE tournament and in Croatia I had one on one skill training with a former Hajduk Split goalkeeper. I believe that my dedication to the art and sport of soccer is what truly sets me apart from other players. Every practice, game, and training session I have, I do with 110% effort and motivation because playing D1 college soccer and hopefully professional has been the ultimate goal since I can remember.
