I have been playing soccer since I was three years old, soon after I learned to run. From my first days on the turf with Lil’ Kickers, I have fallen in love with the game and grown with my experiences on the field. I began playing as a keeper at the age of seven and have never looked back. My desire to play college soccer has grown throughout the years. I have committed time, training, effort, determination and willpower to succeed and grow in my position as a goalkeeper. Soccer has taught me that, with work and dedication, you can accomplish anything. My loyalty to the game and to my team have propelled me to grow as a player over time. I plan to devote myself to a college team and coach, constantly showing up with dedication and commitment.
In addition to my club training with Rush NY Select, I train with Matt Milograno of the BLGK Academy for Goalkeepers and with Joe Papaleo, former Major Indoor Soccer League keeper. In 2021, I have been the starting goalie for 50% of the games during my sophomore year on FM Varsity Soccer team, where we hold the number two state seat for AA teams in New York. I have excellent shot stopping abilities and field awareness. My agility, strength and reflexes have helped me excel in my field position. My coaches praise my physical presence, bravery and competitiveness. I am a team leader and try to set an example for the rest of my peers, constantly providing team feedback for field awareness to my teammates. I am a great motivator and try to offer positive encouragement to my teammates as well. My personality leaves me very coachable and I desire criticism to make me a stronger player. Effort and loyalty are what I am known for, and my belief in giving my all propels my successes. This includes in the classroom, on the field, and as a recruit.
In the classroom, I study and work very hard and hold a 4.0 (98%) GPA unweighted. Most of my classes are honors level classes and I strive to achieve high academic goals. Ultimately, I aspire to become a physician, following in my parents’ footsteps. I am actively involved in my school and community, including serving on my school's Model UN team and volunteering with my church. Before my sophomore year, I attended a summer college program at Emerson for students with an interest in medicine. My goal is to attend a college where I can challenge myself and excel both academically and athletically. I aspire to become a successful student, athlete, and role model to all around me. Perseverance, dedication, and hard work is important for me in both schoolwork and on the field.
