I've had a ball at my feet for as long as I can remember. From the moment I first stepped onto the field, a day hasn't gone by where I haven't played, watched, or thought about soccer. Being an athlete has taught me many valuable lessons. Throughout my years of training and playing competitive soccer, I have developed skills such as confidence, communication, perseverance, leadership, and commitment. These skills have helped me both on and off the pitch, and have shaped me into the person that I am today. During my first few years of playing competitive soccer I was always the smallest kid on the field. This forced me to develop an advanced technical ability to make up for the gap in physicality. Since freshman year, I’ve been playing 1-2 years up in club soccer across various competitive leagues (CJSL, EDP) as well as on my high school’s varsity team. Now I play u19 for my club team and am a key player for both my high school and club teams. As a player, I believe I am a valuable asset in that I am versatile, coachable, and constantly improving. I am comfortable playing in many different positions, have a deep understanding of the game and am willing to do whatever it takes to lead my team to success.
My passion for athletics has given me a pathway to pursue a career in Exercise Science. Growing up, I have always been interested in body mechanics and athletic development. Through research I have taught myself how to prevent injury, recover from injury, and improve athletically. My goals are to take my soccer career as far as I can and to one day be able to use the knowledge I gain in university to help others in the future.
