Hunger... an every game feeling that runs through my body as I step onto the pitch whether it’s in the net or on the defensive mid position. I’ve always wanted to play soccer at the highest level, ever since I started my soccer journey in the 6th grade. Since then I have learned from heartbreaking losses to on-field mistakes. I’ve gone under the wing of many coaches and learned from each of them to become the player I have become and strive to learn more from other coaches as well. I strongly believe I have what it takes to become a college soccer player. The intensity shifts every moment on the pitch. Now I’m not just playing against players or with players my age, but with players who are fitter and older with more experience. Every time I step on the pitch, wearing a jersey I feel empowered, because it shows I represent not only the school/team I play for, but I represent my life’s work every time I show everyone what I can do as a Goalie. This is a challenge I look forward to because I can pick up on new techniques or new in-game strategies. I also understand I have a major responsibility as both student and athlete. Throughout the 3 years, I was a high school student-athlete I’ve managed to balance both studying and practices. I understand college is different but I’m always ready to face new challenges.
