I began playing soccer at the age of 9, as soon as I hit the field I knew this was something I wanted to do for my entire life. I know that in order for me to have a successful career in soccer I need to pick the right college, that will help me both on the field and academically.
I am a quick player and I use my speed as an advantage to get control of the ball for my team. In order to ensure I am at my top speed, I go for a daily run at six in the morning, every single day. What keeps me going everyday is my drive and passion for the sport, to continue to play my best at all times, not only for me but for my team. I love to encourage my team not only when we are doing well, but all the time. It’s true when they say “TEAM work makes the DREAM work”, I can’t play soccer by myself I need my teammates, this is why I will encourage them and actually take into consideration their constructive criticism. After all it’s only going to make me a better player and us a stronger team.
I have worked with plenty of coaches, and I will always have respect for a person willing to help me improve my soccer techniques. I look forward to practice and I make sure I am on time. One thing for sure Soccer has helped me with is time management. I have practice and games to attend but I also have a GPA to maintain. At first finding the balance was tough, but I was able to make a set schedule for my studying. This is how I manage to maintain a 3.0 GPA and play for four different soccer teams at the same time.
I strive to make it into a college, where both my soccer and academies needs are fulfilled. I would love to play for a division one school, however I will be willing to play in any division. This is because I am very passionate at the sport and I would hate to lose the opportunity to play in college. I look forward to continue to work until I make my family, coaches and teammates proud.
