I have played a lot of different sports growing up, including snow skiing, tennis, golf, swimming and biking on a recreational level, and baseball, basketball, cross country and soccer on a competitive level. I love to be active, but most of all I love to compete.
Since deciding to focus on soccer early in my high school career, I have dedicated thousands of hours to training - including weight lifting, aerobic conditioning, and soccer-specific skills. I believe I am just scratching the surface of my ability in the sport of soccer.
In addition to being an intense, physically-fit competitor, I have put the team first. I have a unique background in soccer, which I started playing in the recreational leagues as a four-year-old. After moving to club soccer, I was primarily a defender in U8, primarily a center midfielder in U9, and primarily a goalkeeper from U10 to U14, always playing the position that was best for my team in the judgment of my coach. That has continued in high school, as I have primarily played center back (usually in a three-man back line). When my team needs an offensive boost, I move into my preferred midfield position.
As you can see, I have what it takes to play soccer at the next level. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to prove myself.
