I have been playing soccer since I was four years old but started playing goalie around 2013. I have always loved the thrill I get while playing and the joy it brings to my life. I started thinking about playing college soccer when I was ten years old and realized it is an opportunity not all are given and instead you must work hard for it.
I have excellent hands and don't give up on any plays. I am a vocal leader who also leads by example. I am good at positioning myself and cutting off angles to make the shot as difficult as possible including fearlessly charging off my line when needed. I understand where my teammates should be and communicate clearly to help them see what they can't.
In the classroom, I keep my grades up and work hard to maintain a high GPA in a challenging course load. I also volunteer at local events such as passing out thanksgiving meals at the local food bank, packing meals for the less fortunate in different countries and teaching others at Sunday school.
I would like to attend a college that will challenge me as I pursue my goals in the classroom and on the field; while I help the team and my teammates achieve their goals. I plan to be a good role model and maintain my personal faith through my journey.
I appreciate you taking the time to learn about me and my skills through reading my personal statement. Thank you.
