For as long as I can remember I have been playing soccer. When I was only 5 or 6 I began playing for rec teams around my small town and was going to as many soccer camps as I could. I fell in love with the sport, soccer is one of the most important things to me. I have experienced a variety of competitive environments throughout my whole life. From soccer games, cross country races, and school, I pride myself in how hard I work for my dreams of playing for an NCAA DI or DII college. I also pride myself in how well I can work with others. I am teach-able, a fast learner and always challenge myself to become a better soccer player and person.
I am currently a 16 year old entering my junior year at Athens High school. I was the only starting sophomore varsity player of the 2022 season and was the only freshman on the varsity team of the 2021 season. Our varsity team qualified for the district finals this past season and I finished the season with 15 goals. My freshman year, I played in most games and we were qualified for regional finals; something we have not done since 2015. I also ran cross country and was the top varsity runner my freshman year with a PR of 17:45 . I did not continue cross country after my freshman year because I wanted to focus on Soccer.
I also currently play for Sporting Columbus an ECNL RL 07 boys team that is from Columbus, Ohio. I was fortunate enough to make the team in the 2021 fall season and with the high level of play it has made me a much better player. Even with the 1 hour and 15 minute drive to practice, 3 or 4 times a week, I am still very happy, dedicated, and committed because I know the level of play is making me a better player. When I don't have practice I always try to work out on my own, working out with friends and running. I also made the ODP state team in 2020.
When I was younger I was diagnosed with dyslexia, something that makes reading and sometimes math hard for individuals. But I learned how to over come it, and still get A's in my English class. I know how to overcome diversity and challenges. I improve and never have a negative mindset.
In college, I would love to major in business, architecture, finance or psychology. I am very excited for my future and will never stop working hard. I hope to eventually become a professional soccer player and play in the MLS or Europe.
