(Coach statements at bottom)
My name is Quinn Stahmer. I am a 17 year old Canadian-born goalkeeper from Toronto, Ontario with dual Canadian/German citizenship. I am the middle child of three boys. I have a loving father and step-mother, a twenty year old brother and an 11 year old younger brother. I currently attend Rosedale Heights School of the Arts as a Tenor Saxophone band major. I have been playing soccer since the age of 7, originally beginning as a mid-fielder.
My strengths on the field consist of my in-game decision making, athleticism in goal and work ethic. Over the past two seasons, I am consistently at practice, sometimes having to commute up to 30km to get to the field. Consistent practice is part of my philosophy as a player and learner of the game. I have great leadership abilities, acting as a captain on my team, which I use positively in carrying others along side me in order to succeed as a team. I am a quick learner by nature and am able to take criticism positively to benefit myself and game-play in required areas. As a student-athlete, it is critical to maintain a high degree of efficiency in school. Throughout my years at high school I am keeping my end of the deal, maintaining an 80%-89.9% average as an honors student. I work hard at my schoolwork, making sure to complete every task while arriving at practice enthusiastic and ready to play.
Education is the foundation of one's being. Benefiting from a scholarship opportunity while playing in a Division 1 Men's Soccer program that is a good fit for me would enable me to pursue my dream career as a professional player. An excellent education would also provide the ability to pursue an alternative career for after retirement or if injury were to occur, meanwhile making me a better person for my friends, family and community as a whole.

"Quinn works hard at his goal keeping craft.
He is the first player on the field and the last to leave. I’ve watched Quinn develop from a backup goalkeeper to a starter on any college team."
