Anyone who knows me will be able to tell you one thing about me, nothing separates me from soccer. Soccer is something that I have been in love with since five years old when I won my first trophy. There are two main reasons why I have never walked away from soccer, the first being that you are able to play soccer no matter how many people are present. The second reason is that even if there are "end" products like championships, there is always room for improvement. I love soccer because there isn't a day where I am not working harder to be better. I think what makes me different from many players is that I don't care who I play against, they will always get the same treatment. I will spend the next 90 minutes proving why I am a better player. Since young, I have always lead my team, whether that is with the captain band on or off. As a center back, I make sure that my backline is always in shape communicate when there needs to be an alteration.
As both an athlete and a student, I know how to take responsibility. I can understand when something is done wrong and I know how to find the next steps to improve. My grades show just how responsible and committed I am to the things I do. I follow a rule my dad once set, "If you are going to do something, you have to work to be one of the best to that that thing." This was a conversation we had in middle school when talking about playing soccer in college. He told me that anyone can say that they want to play a sport in college but very little people are willing to put in the work to get to that point. Since then, I make sure that I am one of those people putting in the work to fulfill my dream. This dream is both on and off the field, I don't keep a 4.0gpa for no reason. I keep it because I wish to attend a school that I fit into both in athletics and academics.
