My name is Charles (Charlie) Nemecek. I am currently a Junior at Catlin Gabel School in Portland, Oregon. Sports are a very important part of my life. I have played soccer since I was five years old and I am in the varsity soccer team at my school. I started participating in varsity track & field as a sophomore. I compete mostly in sprinting and jumping events. I enjoy both individual and team events. Sprinting relays and triple jump are my favorite and where I have done my personal best. Maintaining physical activity makes me more successful at academics and I am looking for a school where I can balance sport participation with a great education. I have worked hard to maintain good grades while participating in varsity sports and I would like to find a college or university where I can continue to do that. I also enjoy activities outside of school such as music, mountain biking and snowboarding and would love to find a community where I can enjoy my hobbies with new friends.
