Personal Statement

My name is Harris Christensen. I am a defensive mid for my high school and club soccer teams. I have always had such a strong passion for soccer. My earliest memories have been to do with the game I love. I consider myself a very technical player. I can read the field and the game and I know when I need to play it forward and keep the pace up or when I need to reset the play and calm the team down. I am also a strong leader on and off the field. I know when my team needs me to step up and be vocal during games or practices. Injuries and concussions have held me back and I unfortunately missed my whole sophomore year of high school soccer but I have pushed through them and that has made me stronger. As well as being the captain of my high school team, I have excelled off the field in academics. I have maintained a 3.7 gpa all through high school and I was named to the National Honors Society this year for my academic achievements.
