Personal Statement

Soccer has always been very important first playing at 4 years old on a YMCA team with my older brother, coached by my dad. We had fun while winning and playing with friends. I have been on the Dallas Texans the past 10 years with the last 6 years on the USSDA or ECNL teams. One of the highlights of my career is going deep into the playoffs 2 years ago for ECNL getting to the quarterfinals only to lose a very tight match in PK’s. I love the camaraderie of playing with my teammates, the competitive nature of the sport, and the pride in winning as a team. My strengths as a player are leadership, understanding the game and being in the right position with and without the ball and being a “team player”. I am looking to continue playing for a great soccer program in college at a strong academic institution, being part of something special, growing as a player with my teammates and coaches while getting a great education.

This was a team of primarily 2005 and 2006 players. I was one of two 2006 players on the team. I played right back everygame for the entire 90 minues. We tied for first in the group stage with scores of 2-0, 5-0 and 1-1 but lost in the first round 1-0 to a team from Norway.

We lost in the quarter-finals in a Penalty Shootout vs. Eclipse Select who went undefeated that year in their conference with an 11-0-0 record. We placed as a top 8 team in the Nation for U15 Boys in 2021 and the Dallas Texans Club was ranked the 2nd best club in ECNL Boys.
