2023 SpotlightPersonal Statement
My name is Grayson Michael Davis and I am so much more than a soccer player. Although I have been playing soccer since the age of four, I bring many other attributes to the table as a well-rounded person and student.
I started playing in my hometown of Ft. Myers, FL, then moved to southern Illinois and finally to Charlottesville, VA. While playing in these different locations, I got to experience many coaching styles, teammates, different leagues, playing surfaces and weather. All of this helped shaped who I am as a soccer player, and I am not done yet!
Besides playing soccer, I love mountain biking, reading, playing basketball and hanging out with friends. My family also takes many weekend trips so I also get to see, learn about and experience many different locations, especially along the east coast.
In college, I hope to study engineering or other STEM-based major like Physics or Math. At this point, I do not have a specific area of focus, but I do know that my favorite classes in school now are all STEM based courses. Building and creating has always been something that fascinates me. I know that studying engineering and playing soccer can be quite challenging, but I am up for it.

- Fall '23- Spring '24 season: team finished regular season at 9-4-2 and qualified for the ECNL National Playoffs (in late June '24). Again, I was the leading goal scorer and tied for lead in assists (see stats). ECNL Virginia in late May, playoffs in June. Also named 2nd Team all-ECNL Mid Atlantic conference for '23-'24 season.
- 2022 Skyline Elite SC (VA) (ECNL- MidAtlantic Region)
- Season: Fall '22-Spring '23. Led team in goals/assists for fall '22 season, then broke my tibia in 3 places in early January '23 playing in an indoor game. Missed remainder of club season. Totaled 14 goals and 7 assists before breaking tibia and missing remainder of season.

- Selected to U13B ODP state team in 2020-21 season. Leading goal scorer for VA state teams while playing in ODP tournaments in NC and VA. Selected to compete in the East Region Tournament in New Castle, DE in June '21. Selected to participate in the East Region ID Camp in New Castle, DE in July '21 based on scouting of tournaments (#222 at ID Camp). Then selected for OPD Inter-Regionals in Orlando, FL in November 2021 (did not attend due to multiple club game conflicts).

- Season: Fall '21-Spring '22. 47 goals scored in all competitions with 13 assists. 95% as striker, 5% as CB. Team finished 11-10-5 in it's first season in the ECNL Mid-Atlantic Division.

- Season: Fall '20-Spring '21, starting striker. 19 goals scored (leading goal scorer) and 5 assists in 18 games played (spring season '21). Also drew team high 3 PK's. Team finished 5th/19 in CCL Premiership (U13B).
