My story is a bit different. I started playing soccer a little later than most athletes. My interest in soccer started in 2014, at the age of 12, after watching the World Cup in Brazil. After watching soccer for the first time in that World Cup, I wanted to get out there as soon as I could. Soccer has always been a big thing in my family since my mom is from Brazil. Even though I started a little late, I quickly learned and caught on to the mechanics of the game. From the beginning, my coaches always commented on my keen ability to see the field and put myself in the right position to make an impact whatever position on the field I was placed into. Over the past 6 years, I believe I have grown a lot in confidence and in my abilities as a player. I am hardworking and determined on the pitch, and I will always put 100% of my effort in. Soccer is now something I am very passionate about and hope I can get a chance to compete at the next level. In my collegiate experience I hope to continue to work to my highest potential as a player and build relationships that will last a lifetime. I also hope to get a great education along with that.
