Joseph Smith '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since being 5 years old.  Many great coaches and a lot of hard work have me currently on Virginia #10 FC Richmond 2007 Magic Elite team.  We are an unselfish team, and compete and succeed together.  Similarly, my Futsal RVA team is really good, with the team competing in Nationals this past summer.  The addition of futsal has clearly improved my technical footwork in tight spaces.  I start for my Matoaca HS team as a freshman attacking midfielder, and get to play with my senior older brother, Zach.  

My formal soccer journey has one step left, and that is playing for a great college with a coach that both challenges me and believes in me.  I am among the top students in my 2025 class, with straight A's across the board, and I want to combine a successful college soccer career with an education that allows me to live a great, fulfilling, and meaningful lifestyle in the future.
