I am Jackson Cooper and I have been playing soccer since I was 7 years old. I fell in love with the game when I played my first match. I have been with Virginia Legacy, my club for 8 years, and on the Elite/CCL team for 3 years.
One of my biggest strengths is my versatility. I have primarily played defense, both center back and outside back, I can also play right or left wing. Currently, my primary position is left outside back.
I have learned many things through soccer as a player and a person. My goal is to play college soccer and the things that I have learned contribute to my goal. Some things that I have learned over the years:
To be a determined, hard worker on and off the field;
Have discipline between yourself and others, controlling your actions even in a bad environment;
Effort is a big part in everything;
I control myself on and off the field and I am willing to work hard to reach my goal;
I am a very good learner and can adjust easily. I work on things that need to improve on so I can reach that next level;
I can read plays very well and intercept passes or prevent them from being connected;
I can also switch the ball well and I have great passing skills;
I can find open spaces and split the defenders;
My technical ability is very good. I can go one on one with players and find feet quickly.
