My name is Jackson Ahebwa. My goal is to play soccer at the next level for a competitive collegiate program that I can learn from and contribute to. I am very outgoing, competitive, hardworking and creative. I am a leader both on and off the field. I have been a part of the Hurricane High School varsity soccer team during my freshman, sophomore and junior year. Additionally, I was selected to play with the West Virginia United USL academy team my junior year where we competed with other USL academy teams from other states in Tampa, Florida. I am also co-captain of the 2006 West Virginia Futbol Club (WVFC). Our team has been state champions three years in a row, and have been competitive at the regional tournament during those three years as well. I have also had the privilege to represent West Virginia on the 2005/2006 WV Olympic Development Team.
I bring not only determined drive to my sport but also a strong academic focus. Throughout high school thus far, I have taken a challenging curriculum and achieved a 4.25 grade point average. I am ranked 4th of 346 in the class of 2024 at Hurricane High School and a member of the National Honors Society. I have pushed myself academically and taken both advanced and weighted class in an effort to prepare myself for higher education and my future
I understand sacrifice and commitment that it takes to be college student athlete. My father was recruited from across the globe and left his family and friends to play soccer in the United States and I look forward to following in his foot steps as well as blazing my own trail.
