Caden Schams '26 Recruiting Profile

As a multi-sport athlete I have learned what it takes to compete and win in soccer, track, and alpine ski racing. These sports place a competitor under pressure but I have worked through this with discipline and perseverance.  I have gained burst, balance, and strength in skiing and speed, agility, and endurance in track.  I love soccer because it allows me to use all of my best individual abilities to contribute to a team. 

I have played multiple positions in varsity and club soccer. I like to use my strength and strategic skills to challenge wingers and strikers as a defender, but I also enjoy using my speed and ball skills to attack upfront and score goals.  My coaches tell me I play up to the ages and levels of the players around me (currently U 19) and tell me I am coachable, fast, and reliable.  I have learned the importance of taking care of my health and fitness and attend weekly speed/strength training and pilates sessions to improve my overall performance and prevent injury.  I work hard at being efficient with my time to balance my grades and soccer and am able to be successful in both. I am a serious honors level student and am open-minded about my field of study, but currently have interest in pre-professional programs and business.
