Aidan Sales '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a first generation American of Filipino decent attending Dougherty Valley High School, currently in my junior year.

Being a scholar athlete is important to me because it allows me to set my goals while finding the balance between academics, work and social life. During my time at DVHS, I've challenged myself with multiple sports which include swim, water polo and wrestling all while maintaining an above average GPA and taking AP and Honors courses.

With much exposure in my youth to multiple sports, I found that since the age of 8, I've had a constant passion for swimming. I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take on leadership roles both in and out of high school with the sport I love. Swim has allowed me to compete in what I do best, gain new skills, learn responsibility, and make lasting friendships.

When I'm not actively participating in sports, you will find me lifeguarding for the city of San Ramon or coaching beginner and youth classes at Athenian High School and for the San Ramon Aquacats club team. I enjoy giving back to the community by teaching water safety. As a first responder, I always look for opportunities to help when I can.

No matter what the challenge is, I am willing to learn and adapt to every situation. I strongly believe there's always room for improvement and seek opportunities for growth from my coaches, supervisors and peers along the way. Looking forward to what my future has in store for me!
