Currently I am IOC Olympic Solidarity Scholarship recipient. It is my goal to qualify for the Olympics and maintain my scholarship through 2020 Tokyo. The experience I have gained thus far by representing Samoa at World events such as World Short and Long Course as well as the XX Commonwealth Games have been enormous. I have developed strength in navigating international travel, competing in high level competitions, and adapting to various training environments. I am very outgoing and enjoy seeing new places in the world, meeting new people and learning about places beyond the swimming pool. I was born in Fiji and I have citizenship of both America, through my mother and Samoa, through my Father. I am never quite aware of how unique my upbringing in the islands is until I travel and participate in other clinics, events and camps. To represent Samoa at such a young age has given me exposure to events and cultures different to mine. I want to further this by swimming for the USA collegiate system. My ability to adapt, my easy going nature and my competitive drive are qualities that I can bring to a US College swim team. Most importantly, swimming is not my only passion. I have excelled in mathematics, represented my school on the VEX Robotics team, placed second in a National Speech competition, participated in US State Department American Youth Leadership program 2013-2014 (University of Wyoming) and am actively involved in my church Christian youth program.
