Personal Statement
I have been swimming for the past nine years and want to continue to swim through college. I have developed many valuable characteristics such as a strong work ethic and coachability. I work hard to improve every day whether it's in the weight room or in the pool. Over the past year, I have become a much better swimmer. Medaling in the 100 breast and 200 IM at State, and qualifying for Futures in the 100 and 200 breast at Sectionals are some of my accomplishments this past year. I am committed to becoming much faster during the next couple of years in high school and beyond. Understanding the importance of academic success, I am an honors student with a 4.0 GPA. Because of these characteristics and my athletic ability, I believe I will make a positive impact on your team.
