Christopher Clarke '18 Recruiting Profile

Competitive swimming has long been my path to self-confidence and the pursuit of excellence. I love to compete, especially with my teammates, and contribute to team success on the relay. I’m the captain of the boys HS swim team, and been challenged in new ways. Yes, swimming is my passion, but I have enjoyed being a leader in several school programs, including Teens against Substance Abuse and Respect our Veterans. I was privileged to a delegate to the Model UNM conference at Columbia University, and on the board of the schools Diversity Task Force. 

As an athlete, I am fascinated by human physiology and would like to dive deep into a health related major such as Sports Medicine, PT and Psychology. I’m looking for a college where I can make a contribution to my teammates and others, and join a community in which I can fit. I’m open to many different kinds of schools, but I do lean slightly South and West, and New York and DC are on my radar! I have traveled to many parts of the world with my parents and learned that every city and town offers something unique. I’m very excited to take the next step to learning and contributing to others.
