Hi! My name is Marek Kaszynski and I would like to thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I have been swimming competitively with Kanakadea Valley Aquatic Club since I was 11, and more recently with Mercury Swimming, starting in March '23. I have been with Hornell High School Varsity’s team for four years. I mainly swim backstroke, but I am competitive in other events (2023 county champion in 50 free). The past two seasons I have qualified for New York State Section V (sectionals) in all events apart from the 100 Breaststroke, and the 500 Freestyle. I am a supportive teammate, and I can take feedback and apply it to my performance. As an ambassador to the sport, I teach swim lessons at the Hornell Area YMCA, and occasionally assist the YMCA swim team’s coach. I am CPR and lifeguard certified. While I haven't decided on a potential college major, I am interested in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and possibly Criminal Justice.
