Austin Poole '26 Recruiting Profile

I am a highly motivated athlete and student.  My love of swimming began when I was 6 years old when I won the 25 y backstroke in the Championship meet. I am currently in 11th grade (2024/25) and have a 4.44 GPA. I swim for the Nationally Ranked TAC Titans in Cary, NC who's head coach is Bruce Marchionda.  I also swim Varsity for Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, NC for Coach Jonah Turner. I was awarded the "Coaches Award" for being coachable and a team player my freshman year.  I am also a 3 time Scholar Athlete.  I enjoy my teammates success as much as my own! I love the dryland portion of my training as much as my in the water time and realize this is an integral part of my training.  I am a great Fly, IM, and Freestyle swimmer. 

My education is paramount to my future success. I work very hard to maintain an A+ honor roll as a freshman and Sophomore. This year I have  many honors and AP courses to challenge myself. I am looking forward to a medical career and I know I have the perseverance that I've learned through swimming to get there! I am currently  a lifeguard and CPR certified and in summers will work around the rigorous swim schedules at the TAC Titans.

When not swimming or studying I love to surf! I enjoy my family time, playing with our dogs, and watching my sister do gymnastics. I have a great support system and I know, with their help, I will be successful.
