Personal Statement
.) I am 6'2 1/2" 175 Pounds on average Very fast off the blocks and to the wall (I need to work on my power enderance which I have set up a good program for with a good performance center.
.) I started swimming the summer of my Sophmore year and made Nationals in the 50 Breast and Free that summer. I have been working my way up the charts ever since and know that this will be the year I'll make it to finals. I have never competed with a high school but I transfered to Saint Xavior and this will be my last, first chance.
.) I transfered to Saint Xavior because my previous school was to easy for me. I didn't want to be able to take it easy and hold a 4.0. It was also a drama house and I wanted to be at a place that I heard was great. Saint Xavior is a very difficult college prep private school, they have one of the best swimming teams in the state and are "men for others." That is the modo at Saint Xavior. You would have to be there to see it but we raise tons of food and hundreds of thousands of dollors for the needy. I wanted to go to a school like that. I took the test to get in and was one of few to be accepted into the school as a transfer. In order to get to practice on time I must wake up at 4:30 every morning because my drive is an hour to get there (if there is no traffic). I knew that my time was limited to become a swimmer fast enough for a college and so I started a nutritional plan and work-out reutine that I follow on my own. I train smart and study good swimming habits. The year prior I realized that I needed more sleep in order to drop a sufficient ammount of time to be noticed. This year I am sleeping as much as I can, but school achedemics are very rigorous ( I do my best). I wake up, train, go to school, train, study, and sleep all day. I may have started late but I want it bad and believe that I have the heart and supporting family to reach my goals. I teach other swimmers good habits that I have picked up and am signing up for team captain this year (we'll see how it terms out). ither way I love to help people and will do what I can.
.) I would like to go to a college in California because I simply love the lifestyle there. People go to work and then work out. It is a place for great community, wheather, and team sports. I would like to go to a college with a good achedemic program as well as swimming. Anywhere that is mountainous, forest covered, or beach area that is good for a sports lifestyle is the place for me. As far as I know from self site and family knowledge those places are out west.
.) Division 1, and fairly large campus.
.) I may want to go into business for sales because that is what my dad is. He is a very successful saleman in California and on the undefeated state champion team for out-rigging in Dana Point Harbor. You get what you put into sales and then you have plenty of time to do whats important to you. I also want to study in renewable resources in order to help the crises we are comming into. My dad is starting a secret business right now on it ... You'll have to wait to see if you hear about it ;)
.) My goal this year is to train myself souly on sprinting. I had my body tested for efficiency while I was at the DHP training facility and found that I am mostly a fast twitch make up. I wish to make it on our state relay for the 200 Free Relay and possibly other events. My goal and wishes of the coach are to break a 21.0 Free and go as far as I can. I believe that if I follow my nutrition, get plenty of sleep, and work harder than anyone else (but most importantly smart.... Smarter, not harder) than the rest will take care of itself.
