Personal Statement

I am 17 years old, DOB 3/31/04.  I am 6’4. I weigh 170lbs, 77 inch wingspan . I have a 60 in box jump. I qualified for the 2021 Futures Championship and Spring Cup. I graduate in 2022. My current GPA as of 4/15/21 is 3.429.  I started swimming my freshman year of high school. I quickly learned the strokes and moved to the highest ranking of Elite, on my Aquatic Club of Enid Team. I transferred schools so that I could swim for 6A Enid High School, my junior year. I broke one 6A Enid High School record my first year on the team. I have several OK State relay records. Two set at the 2021 USA OK State meet. I plan to break more my senior year along with personal records.  I am currently in the pool or gym around 6 hours a day. I excel at dry land agilities as well as my abilities in the pool. I have been a Coach for the Aquatic Club of Enid since I turned 16 years old. I am very close to my Coaches. Sam Stewart, my coach, has been a mentor in and out of the pool. He has guided me on a path of swimming, believing in my abilities, learning to keep my mind focused, and leading me on a path with God. I have never been in trouble at school.  I strive to be a good example in and out of the pool. I have worked very hard acclimating to a new high school so that I can keep a good GPA for my team and myself. I work well with teammates and I am coachable. I strive to push myself and my team, as Team Captain of ACE. My goals for my senior year of high school are to set new high school records for my 6A team, to set Aquatic Club of Enid records, to broaden my abilities by swimming longer distances this coming year and eventually qualifying for Junior Nationals and of course  Trials. I will be bigger stronger and faster my senior year. I am eager to pursue my swimming career in a college setting, where I can become a team player and hopefully a team leader by example.
