Rachel Doherty '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Rachel Doherty, I am a Libero/DS and I graduated in the class of 2021. I am currently finishing out my 2nd year of College Volleyball at Rose State as captain and Libero and would like to continue to playing at the higher level. I was introduced to volleyball through a church league in grade school and I've been in love with the game ever since. I played as varsity Libero since I was a sophomore for Enid Public Schools and five years of club volleyball all as the starting Libero.  I also traveled with the USA national volleyball team to Australia where I played Libero as well. When I go to the gym, I am not only trying to make myself better but also my team. I am very coach-able, hard working, and fearless.

I have played soccer as a defensive back for ten years for club and four years for high school. My GPA for my first year of College was a 3.5 and I volunteered every month at the animal shelter and at OU basketball and baseball games for my college team.

I am searching for the best blend of high level volleyball and academic excellence.  I plan on receiving my masters or doctorate in college. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me.
