Jonah Feit '12 Recruiting Profile

I am currently an incoming senior at a highly competitive academic, private college-prep school. I have always been a two sport athlete until 2010; when I stopped playing basketball and committed to playing tennis full time. I was a member of the National I team for Tennis Europe in the summer of 2010. It was a great experience playing as part of a team and this is when I knew I would enjoy playing college tennis. I won a Men's singles and doubles open tournament in Amsterdam and had good results in Germany and Spain as well. I have been working on my strength and footwork with my coaches weekly.

I have qualified for the State high school tournament in doubles as a freshman and reached the round of 16. I qualified for the state singles tournament in my sophomore and junior season. In my junior season I was undefeated during the regular season in singles and helped lead my team to a second place finish in the state team tournament.  I just won my first 18 and under open tournament and I believe my aggressive style game is ideal for 18's and college tennis.

I am looking for a college to challenge me academically as well as to help me develop into a national caliber tennis player. Whether I am on the basketball court, tennis court or classroom, my teachers have always told me that I am one of the hardest working students they have had. In order for me to attend an out of state school, I would need financial aid, whether it would be athletic or academic. I believe that I will be a great addition to any team and school. My goal as a college tennis player would be to start at singles or doubles, play at a competitive level of tennis and help them win a conference or national championship.
