I have been playing tennis since I was about 6 years old. My grandfather put me in a tennis camp and since then I have fallen in love with tennis. I have always dreamed of playing at the college level and now I know it could possibly become a reality. I have a lot of strengths in my tennis game. I have a strong forehand, big serve, good movement. I am a very coachable player and I am a good team player. I strive to be the greatest I can be and I am one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. I work hard all year round to improve my tennis skills. During the off-season I lift a lot of weights to be stronger and faster than I was the season before. Also, during the off-season I will tweak and improve what I need to with my coach, Jamie Peterson. During the winter months I train at NERRC (northeast regional recreational center) with Coach Chuck Willenborg. All the players do drills and match play to help each other get better. Education is also very important to me. I maintain high grades year round and my education is just as much of a focus as my tennis game. I have earned honor roll every semester but 1 so far. My GPA is usually northward of 3.7 and as in tennis, I work as hard as I can to maintain high grades. I have something unique about me that most other recruits do not. I have a condition called “Crohn’s disease”. Last year (2022) was one of the hardest years I have lived through. I have never felt as bad as I did in my entire life, yet I showed up to school and practiced like I was feeling 100%. This disease has shown me how much of a fighter I am. I never give up no matter how bad things get. I want to attend a college that will continue to push me on the court and in the classroom. I am open to all opportunities and would love to continue to play tennis at the collegiate level.
