Coach, I am a tough, competitive athlete who loves playing the game. I attend Point Pleasant Beach High School and play on the Varsity tennis team. During my freshman year, I earned Rookie of The Year and Third place at the Ocean County Tennis Tournament for Third Singles. Throughout Sophomore year I earned the MVP award and Second place at the Ocean County Tennis Tournament for Second Singles. In the classroom, I try very hard to earn the best grades. Sophomore year I participated in AP World History and in Junior year I will be taking AP Language and Composition. At the end of my Sophomore year I have 3.7 GPA. I participate in extracurricular activities as well such as Interact Club, UNICO Club, and an Interfaith Hospitality Network Volunteer. I like to take part in these clubs to help become a well-rounded person.
Throughout my late middle school to high school years, I have dreamed of playing tennis at the collegiate level. Whether it's talking to my parents daily about my tennis skills or working hard on the court, I am determined to play at the next level. Over the course of the past few years I have become more dedicated to the sport and started to realize that this whole "next level thing" is actually coming closer and closer to my reach. Playing tennis as a Gull at Point Pleasant Beach High school is just so much fun and I learn so much. I am surrounded with great teammates and coaches that make the season so fun and meaningful. All our hard work as a team paid off and we won back to back B Central Public 2017 and 2018 Championships. However, the tennis season during the spring is short which is why I also play at New Shrewsbury Racquet Club and Bay Head Yacht Club. These facilities are full of great players and coaches who all push me to be the best player I can possibly be. After a successful Freshman and Sophomore year, I look forward to a great Junior year. I hope we will be in contact soon and best of luck to your college tennis season.
