My goals for my college experience are to play on the tennis team while getting my pre-med qualifications done. I am a great candidate for your team because I am a great leader and show by example. Many believe that a great leader needs to be the most confident or even the loudest player on the court. I break this stereotype as when on the court I show little emotion and tend to break my opponents down as I beat them without showing joy or frustration throughout the match. Although I might seem serious or conservative on the court, once I step off I am a completely different person. At first, it takes me a little to get used to new environments, but once comfortable I am easygoing and loud (a trait passed from my dad). Determination has been essential to my successes on and off the court, and once I set a goal, I will do everything in my control to assure my victory. Although determination is important, my most useful and strongest trait is my listening ability. Ever since I was young, from coaches to science and even music teachers, all have noted that my ability to shut up and listen makes me a very malleable and easy to teach student. I pick up on things quickly, but even if I can't, my determination allows me to still learn at a similar pace. As I begin my college recruiting process, I hope those reading this recognize that I am nowhere close to my potential, and have much more to learn not only athletically or academically, but as a human being as well. I would love to not only grow in all aspects of my life at your college but also help others grow in theirs, as the greatest success we'll know is helping others succeed and grow.
