Hello - My name is Cooper Weiss. I have been playing competitive tennis since I was 4 years old and have loved every minute. If you asked me what my coaches would say about me, they would say I am a very dedicated and well rounded athlete. I play multiple sports including swimming, soccer and alpine ski racing. I have a consistent workout schedule that focuses on building strength and training my speed/quickness. As an athlete, I have heard season after season from all of my coaches that I am very coachable and always dedicated to improving my game. I have been asked by my high school team to practice with the varsity team since I was in 6th grade due to my skill level. Once I finally reached the point of being able to compete at the varsity level as a freshman, I earned the #2 spot and was named captain. This year as a sophomore, I continue to play in the#2 spot although challenging the #1 spot weekly and was again named team captain. I train year round through Boars Head Sports Club where I have access to UVA coaches and hitting partners. I strive to always grow and develop more as a tennis player and be a valuable asset wherever I attend college and play tennis. My goal is to attend a school where I can excel in a business program and fulfill my dream of playing tennis at the collegiate level.
