Running is my passion! When I am on the track or trail I feel at home. I began running when I was about 10 years old and I started running competitively in 6th grade. Running and competing has taught me many important life lessons and has also helped to shape my beliefs. Running has taught me that I can reach my goals and aspirations with hard work, focus, and commitment. Running has also taught me how to shape long and short term goals for myself. A long term goal I currently have for myself is to apply and get accepted into med school so that I can study to be a doctor. Running has also taught me many lessons on teamwork and sportsmanship. My team is my family and sportsmanship is just as important as the competitive drive to win. If I am having a bad day, a good run is all I need to save the day!
