Here are a few things about myself that I would like to express. I am very interested and dedicated to Track and field, specifically sprinting. I’ve been sprinting and running track since 7th grade and into high school. When I was in 8th going into high school, I realized that track is something that I really want to be great in and work hard at and ever since 8th grade into high school, I have challenged myself and pushed harder to achieve my goals in track regarding my events.
My dedication to Track regarding my sprint events such as 200,300 and 400 is to be able to consistently set higher standards for myself. I know that just being good is not going to cut it and that to reach my full potential, I always have to strive for growth. “Therefore,” my work ethic is strong and allows me to be comfortable at whatever I am at. By doing extra work outside of practice alone, working on my mechanics, doing extra sets in the 200 and the 400, and taking tips from my coaches, I humble myself and allow myself to be coach-able in order to succeed and grow not only as an athlete but as a person. My parents taught me discipline and the principle of working hard in all areas, academically as well as athletically.
