As a Freshman in high school, I was the best runner on the Varsity Cross-Country team and one of the best in my County. Before freshmen year, I never thought of being a runner but my basketball coach brought it up to me that cross-country would be good for basketball season and getting my stamina up. From then on, I got better and better, always pushing myself to the max in practice and constantly dropping my times in every meet (Cross country & Track and field). I have been awarded MVP my Freshman year and Sophomore year on the Varsity Cross Country team and I have learned about leadership and commitment. I have quit basketball to dedicate all my time to running. I believe I have the Talent and the Academic requirements to compete at a college level. As a two-sport athlete and a two-time MVP, I know I will have what it takes to be a leader and a motivator on your team in the future.
